Application and Properties of 3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy) Propyl Trimethoxysilane (amino silanes KH-560)

Amino silanes KH-560 is soluble in water and reacts with water to release methanol. It is soluble in alcohols, acetone, most aliphatic groups, esters, etc. (when the dosage is less than 5%).

[Application and performance]

1. It is a coupling agent containing an epoxy group. It is used for sealant and sealant of polysulfide and polyurethane. It is used for epoxy resin adhesives, filling or reinforcing thermosetting resins, glass fiber adhesives and thermoplastic resins for inorganic filling or glass reinforcing.

2. Amino silanes KH-560 enhances the electrical properties of epoxy-based electronic sealants, packaging materials, and printed circuit boards, and improves the bonding strength between resin and matrix or filler.

3. Amino silanes KH-560 can enhance the electrical properties of many inorganic filled nylon and polybutylene terephthalate composites. It is effective for a wide range of fillers and substrates, such as clay, talc, wollastonite, silica, quartz or aluminum, copper and iron. These include: Quartz filled epoxy sealant, premixed formulation, sand-filled epoxy resin concrete repair materials or coatings, and epoxy resin materials for molding tools and metal filled.

4. The requirement for independent primers in polysulfide and polyurethane sealants and sealants is eliminated.

5. Amino silanes KH-560 can also improve the adhesion of waterborne acrylic latex sealant and sealant in coatings based on polyurethane and epoxy resin. Inorganic toners, the solubility, dispersibility, and fluidity of adhesives are improved.
