CFS-845, Tetramethyl orthosilicate is a chemical compound containing four methoxy groups bonded to a silicon atom. It has similar basic properties to CFS-104(Tetraethyl orthosilicate, TEOS). CFS-845 is also named as Tetramethoxysilane, Methyl silicate or abbreviated TMOS. It is the equivalent of Dynasylan M.
Tetramethyl orthosilicate Application
CFS-845 has similar application fields to CFS-104, TEOS. But CFS-104 is usually preferred because of its eco-friendlier hydrolysis product, ethanol.
CFS-845 can be used as a crosslinking agent, a binder or a drying agent in adhesives, coatings and silicone rubbers. It is an important material for sol-gel processing.
CFS-845 can be used as an intermediate for the preparation of organic silicone products.
CFS-845 can be used for optical glass processing and improve the light transmittance.
CFS-845 can be used as an insulation material in electronic industry and a silica source for semiconductors.

CFS-845 should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated place, and avoid exposure to humidity.
CFS-845 should be stored in its original containers and used up as soon as possible after opening.
When stored in a strictly sealed and unopened container, CFS-845 has a shelf life of 12months.
