Organic silicone products have been widely used in fiber, fabric and dyeing and finishing processes in textile processing, giving the finishing fabric soft, lubricating, waterproof, anti-static, elastic, non-iron, anti-mildew, anti-bacterial and other functions. In addition, they are also used in defoaming, textile and dyeing equipment lubrication. Among them, methyl silicone oil is the most important additive with the largest consumption in the textile industry.

Dimethyl silicone oil or polydimethylsiloxane was the first product to be introduced into the textile industry. It is used as softener, lubricant, waterproofing agent, finishing agent and so on. In order to meet the high-end demand of textiles, Co-Formula has been constantly developing silicone oil which can be used with various functional additives such as waterproofing agent, flame retardant, antistatic agent, fixing agent and so on. There are several organosilicon products at Co-Formula which can improve fabric softness and smoothness, and give fabric excellent deepening effect, good storage stability.


Amino modified silicone oil has all the properties of PDMS/dimethyl silicone oil and can give fabric better softness and smoothness. Epoxy modified silicone products can further improve the durability of non-yellowing finishing, but the fabric feel is worse than amino modified silicone oil. Polyether modified silicone oil has good hydrophilicity and antistatic property. It can be used as wetting agent, water absorbent and non-woven finishing agent to make the fabric soft and smooth.

Reactive polysiloxanes containing hydrogen or hydroxyl groups can be crosslinked into siloxane networks on fabrics and improve the hydrophobicity, good softness and durability of fabrics. The hydroxyl terminated polymethylsiloxane emulsion with SiOH bond can also be used as an elastomer finishing agent and give the fabric higher crease resistance, good dimensional stability and excellent handle.

Besides functionalization of textiles as additives in textiles, Co-Formula organosilicon products are also be applied to other areas of textiles, such as coating of fabrics formed by combination of organosilicon and polyurethane, printing of fabrics formed by polymerization of organosilicon and acrylic acid, waterproof coating of fabrics surface formed by combination of organosilicon products including fluoro silanes. The use of Co-Formula silane coupling agents can also improve the resilience and durability of textiles and fabrics.
