I、Characteristic
Co-Formula CFS-292 N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane [CAS 3069-29-2] is an organosilane with reactive amine groups and hydrolyzable inorganic methoxysilyl bifunctional groups. This bifunctional structure gives Co-Formula CFS-292 special properties: it can bond inorganic materials (such as glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (such as thermoplastics, thermosets or elastomers) together organically, thus acting as adhesion promoter, cross-linker and/or surface modifier, product modification reactor. It is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid with special ammonia odor, soluble in alcohols, chain hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons and other solvents.


II、Reaction properties
In the presence of water, Co-Formula CFS-292 will hydrolyze the silicone hydroxyl group of life wave to form bonds on the surface of various inorganic materials. the amino group of Co-Formula CFS-292 with organic nature can react and combine with suitable organic polymers. Co-Formula CFS-292 can autocatalyze the hydrolysis reaction. The pH value of hydrolysis products is about 10~11.
Suitable inorganic materials like: glass, glass fiber, glass wool, mineral wool, silica clay, sand, mica, aluminum hydroxide, square quartz, calcium silica, kaolin, talc, other silicate fillers, metal oxides and metals.
Resins that can be used for Co-Formula CFS-292 include, phenolic resins, furans, and silicone rubber.Co-Formula CFS-292 can react in ketone or ester solvents. The silane itself or the silanized substrate reacts with carbon dioxide to form the corresponding carbonate or carbamate.
