Silane impregnation is divided into liquid (CFS-0471 isobutyltriethoxysilane CAS 17980-47-1) and paste (CFS-213 isooctyltriethoxysilane CAS 35435-21-3). 

(C) Spraying construction
(1) Since it is a chemical product, the construction workers should wear masks, gloves and protective glasses, and there should be no open fire at the site. Each barrel of silane products should be finished within 72 hours after unpacking, otherwise the remaining barrel should be scrapped.
(2) Concrete ageing requirement: not less than 28 days, or not less than 14 days if there is repair.
(3) Construction environment requirements: to be in the ambient temperature between 5C °-45C °, sunny days construction, preferably not strong direct sunlight. The construction is not allowed in rainy days, and it is also not suitable for construction when the wind is strong (above level 5). If the surface of the component is rinsed with water, it is necessary to wait until the surface is thoroughly dried after 72 hours before spraying. In addition, pay attention to the weather forecast, after spraying within 24 hours can not rain, otherwise greatly reduce the effect.
(4) Spraying method: For the convenience of construction, the site uses agricultural sprayer to spray the surface of the components, but use a special nozzle, the nozzle is 30-40cm from the surface. Generally spraying two times, the time interval between two times should be greater than 6 hours. The total spraying amount of two times is about 600ml/㎡.

(D) Inspection and acceptance
The quality acceptance of impregnated silane should be taken as one acceptance batch for each 500㎡ impregnated area, and the sampling method should be in accordance with the above four (b) chapters for sampling test, and the core sample should be sealed and signed by the supervisory unit and sent for inspection. Any one of the three does not meet the requirements, the inspection batch should be re-impregnated with silane.
Silane impregnation does not change the appearance of concrete, after spraying with water repellency, permeability, anti-chloride ion erosion ability and simple construction, can postpone the corrosion of reinforced concrete structure for an additional 15 to 20 years or more, can greatly reduce the cost of maintenance due to concrete corrosion, and therefore hope that the future can be widely used in civil construction projects.
