In the presence of water, the alkoxy group of CFS-351 [A-1170] hydrolyzes to form an active silicon hydroxyl group, while releasing methanol, a byproduct of the hydrolysis reaction. This silicon hydroxyl group is chemically bonded by condensation reaction with hydroxyl groups on the surface of various inorganic materials (substrates or pigment fillers), while its amino groups can chemically react or physically bind to suitable polymers. Through the above-mentioned bidirectional reaction, this product realizes the coupling and connection between inorganic filler (or substrate) and organic polymer material.

The hydrolysis of CFS-351 [A-1170] should adjust the pH value of the aqueous solution to 2~3 acidic conditions with organic acids (such as formic acid or acetic acid); When preparing the oily primer solution of this product, it is necessary to use water in the solution according to the weight ratio of this product according to 2~4%, and then stir for more than 5 hours.

Inorganic materials suitable for CFS-351 [A-1170] include glass, glass fiber, glass wool, mineral wool, mica, quartz and other siliceous materials and aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, kaolin, talc, steel, zinc, aluminum and other metals and their oxides, but it has no effect on calcium carbonate, graphite, carbon black, barium sulfate and other fillers that do not contain hydroxyl groups on the surface.

Suitable polymers for CFS-351 [A-1170] include (but are not limited to) phenolic, epoxy, furan, urea-formaldehyde, polyurethane, acrylic, polyester, silicone, nitrile and other thermosetting resins and nylon, polycarbon ester, PBT, PET, EVA, modified PP, PVC, PVB, PVAC, PS and other plastics.
