Silicone fluid has many special properties, such as low temperature viscosity coefficient, resistance to high and low temperature, oxidation resistance, high flash point, low volatility, good insulation, small surface tension, no corrosioness to metal and non-toxicity. Because of these characteristics, silicone fluid has been used in many ways and has excellent results. Among all kinds of silicone fluids, methyl silicone fluid is the most widely used and the most important one. The second is methylphenyl silicone fluid. In addition, there are ethyl silicone fluid, methyl phenyl silicone fluid, silicone fluid containing nitrile, etc. Various functional silicone fluids and modified silicone fluids are mainly used for special purposes.

Properties: colorless, odorless, non-toxic and non-volatile liquid.

Purpose: various kinds of viscosity, high heat resistance, water resistance, electrical insulation and small surface tension. It is commonly used as high grade lubricating oil, shock proof oil, insulating oil, defoaming agent, mold release agent, polishing agent, isolating agent and vacuum diffusion pump oil, etc. Methyl silicone fluid is the most commonly used one. Used on textile after being emulsified or modified, it feels smooth and soft. Emulsified silicone fluid is also added to shampoos for everyday care products to improve hair lubrication. In addition, there are ethyl silicone fluid, methyl phenyl silicone fluid, silicone fluid containing nitrile, etc.

Preparation or source: an oily substance obtained by the hydrolysis condensation of organosilicon monomers with two functional groups and one functional group.
