CFS-601[CAS 2897-60-1] is a difunctional epoxy silane with an epoxy functional group and two hydrolysable alkoxy groups (diethoxy) in both of its molecular structures. This dual reactivity allows it to improve the bonding, adhesion and compatibility between inorganic materials (glass, metals, fillers) and organic polymers (thermosetting resins, plastics, elastomers) by means of a bidirectional chemical reaction with them, thus improving the mechanical properties of resin-based composites or improving the bond strength and water resistance of resin coatings. In different applications, it can be used as a coupling agent, adhesion promoter, curing agent, surface modifier for colour fillers, etc.

Applications

Used as an adhesion promoter or a crosslinker in the coating and sealants industries. It’s suitable for the processing of furniture adhesives, automotive sealants and marine coatings. It is also used in acrylic and polyurethane waterborne coatings.
Used for the preparation of electronic encapsulation and electronic packaging materials.
Used as a surface modifier of various inorganic fillers and glass fiber, to improve the bonding performance between organic resins and inorganic substrates.
As an additive or formulated as a primer for polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, phenolic, acrylic, polysulfide, urea-formaldehyde and other coatings, inks, adhesives and sealants to improve the adhesion, corrosion resistance, weather resistance, boiling resistance and scrub resistance of resin coatings, to extend the service life, and to improve the dispersion and bonding of colors and fillers in the resin phase.
CFS-601[CAS 2897-60-1] and D4, DMC and other silicone monomers for copolymerization, used to synthesize silicone oil products containing epoxy groups.
Mineral filler or glass fibre filled plastics (PBT, nylon, etc.), rubber, resin (epoxy, etc.), used to improve the dispersion and combination of filler and fibre in the resin phase, and improve the mechanical strength of the products.
inorganic mineral fillers (such as silica micron, etc.), flame retardants (such as magnesium hydroxide, etc.) and surface treatment of glass fibres, to improve their dispersion, compatibility, bonding and strengthening effect in the resin phase.
