The amino silane coupling agent is a kind of material with two different functional groups. The biggest feature of its molecular structure is that it contains two different chemical groups, one is the inorganic group, which is easy to react with an inorganic substance, the other is the organic group, which can chemically react with a synthetic resin or other polymers or produce hydrogen bonds to dissolve in it.

The amino silane coupling agent, also called the "molecular bridge" is used to improve the function between an inorganic substance and organic substance to greatly improve the function of mechanical properties, such as physical property, electro property, thermal property, and optical property. It is used in the rubber industry to improve the wear resistance and aging resistance performance of products including tire, plywood, rubber hose, and rubber shoes. Besides, it can decrease the consumption of NR to lower the cost.

The function of the amino silane coupling agent in mechanical properties lies in that it not only can reinforce the reaction with some groups of strengthening material surface but also it can react with matrix resin. It can form an interface layer between the reinforcement material and the resin matrix, which can transfer the stress so as to enhance the bonding strength between the reinforcement material and the resin and improve the properties of the composite material. Meanwhile, it can prevent other media from penetrating into the interface and improve the interface condition, which is beneficial to the optical property, stress resistance, and electrical insulation performance of the products.

Its dosage is generally 0.5-2% of the amount of filler. The amino alkoxysilane coupling agent is generally composed of two parts, one is an inorganic group, which can interact with inorganic fillers or reinforce materials; the other is an organic group, which can interact with synthetic resin.
