MS Polymer adhesives are known as being “hybrid” as they combine the best properties of two or more chemistries whilst limiting the disadvantages of each. For example, Co-Formula MS polymers combine the strength of Polyurethanes with the weathering resistance of silicones. They’re also solvent and isocyanate free. Initially MS polymer adhesives were developed to overcome some of the staining and bleeding issues that occur with highly plasticised sealants (such a silicone oil).

I、Benefits of Using Co-Formula MS polymers
There is superior adhesion to a wide range of materials, commonly used in construction and industry without a primer. This means it’s an effective solution for a wide range of applications with just the one product. Co-Formula MS polymer has excellent mechanical properties such as long-term elasticity, recovery after deformation and no fatigue effects. It can withstand vibration, is weather resistant and can survive thermal expansion with no bubbling in the curing process. There is a low risk of staining porous substrates, no foul odour and best of all comes accompanied with a long shelf life/great storage stability. Co-Formula MS polymers also offer the following benefits: stress recovery, UV resistance, heat resistance, low temperature extrusion, tear resistance, paint-ability, availability in colours, non-bubbling, adhesion spectrum, staining, environmental friendliness.

II、Application of Co-Formula MS Polymer
Co-Formula MS polymers are widely recognized as the premium choice of base resins for producing sealants, adhesives, and coatings. The application is vast and there any many industries which require a tough, flexible bond. The main markets include: construction, industrial, transportation, flooring, waterproofing, DIY and specialty markets. The most common are listed below: Bus and Coach, Truck body, Trains and trams, aerospace, caravans and motorhomes, construction.
